Submissions
page updated February 5, 2008
These general web page guidelines are a constant "work in progress."
If you have any feedback on these ideas ... that would be great !
Here are a few guidelines / suggestions for submissions to this site.
- Webmaster's goal is to update the site at least twice a week.
- Please plan for a ten day lead time for your submissions.
(Updates are often completed within one week ... but we would like to ask that you plan ahead.)
- Include only one item per e-mail. One item per e-mail greatly simplifies our tracking of your updates.
- Please state clearly the name of the page you would like your information placed.
(Or the name of the page that needs to be changed / corrected)
- Please submit announcements and other postings ready to "cut and paste".
The less time needed to reformat postings ... the less time it takes get them on-line.
Please don't ask the webmaster to write an announcement to post. Just write your announcement exactly the way you would like to see it on the site. This makes it FAR easier to serve you quickly. If a posting requires a "re-write" it will be delayed.
- Include an "expiration date" on announcements (if needed). This helps us to avoid out of date postings on the site.
FORMATS
- Announcements and postings can be submitted as text in an e-mail. This gives us the most flexibility.
- If you are submitting forms as Microsoft Word documents they will be converted to "pdf" format.
- Documents of just one page can be posted on the site as actual images.
- If a short item is sent as a Word Document. We can often do a "cut and paste".
- If a document is more than one page in length it will be posted as a "file download link".
(Contents of pdf's and downloadable documents are not "searchable" from the internet.)
Acrobat PDF Writer
Search for "Doro PDF Printer"
This a free program that act like a "virtual printer" for your PC. You select your print option for your document and then change the printer to this. It will then ask you where you would like to save the PDF. Ta da ! You just created a pdf file !
